ALTER EGO rocks the rodeo, Tripps; places high in EDGE polls!

Greetings to all our ALTER EGO-maniacs!
Sending this out a little early this week, because we have a rare weeknight gig, and it's a GOOD one!
On THURSDAY, FEB. 9, we'll be at the SAN ANTONIO STOCK SHOW AND RODEO, out at the BUDWEISWER SLAMS AND JAMS tent from 8:45-11:45 P.M. Originally we were going to start and end much earlier, but I got a call today from the director of entertainment for the rodeo, and Budweiser has asked if the bands could start and end later, so they could have people hang out longer! We quickly agreed, and I think the later time will work out great! So, if you're at the rodeo Thursday night, stop by and have a cold one and enjoy some great music!
On FRIDAY, FEB. 10, we'll be on the Northeast Side at one of our favorite places to play, TRIPP'S HUMOUR BAR, 210 E. Aviation, just off Pat Booker Road. Music starts at 9:30 p.m. and there's never a cover!
Lots of great gigs coming up, including our return to Tiffany's Billiards, Legend's and Wise Guys! Keep checking the website for updates!
In other news, the EDGE Magazine "Best of 2005" poll results just came out, and ALTER EGO was very well represented in a number of categories. We placed #2 for "Best Cover Group," #4 for Best Party Band", #2 for Best Guitarist (Paul Navarez); #2 for Best Drummer (Tony Vasquez), #4 for Best Bassist (Steve Elliott), and #5 for Best Male Singer (Bruce Allen). The competition was tougher than ever this year, and we are especially proud to be in the Top 3 for four years straight, ever since we've been in existence! Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote! See you out there!
